I am passionate about art and ceramics and because it allows me to slow down in this fast paced world and express myself with my hands and my heart .

I’m a native to the Netherlands. I enjoy sailing, travelling, and yoga. 

My passion for ceramics started in 1994 at Ventura College, California. I returned to the Netherlands and continued my journey at a 4 year ceramics school in Gouda. I opened my first studio 25 years ago. I also hosted several pottery and painting retreats in France. 

I’m a Raja Yoga Teacher and hosted many mindfulness yoga sailing retreats in Greece and Turkey. In the summer I teach and host painting and drawing workshops at the ocean front of various beach destinations in California. 

In my previous life I was a cruise director on the ‘SY Sea Cloud’ and the ‘MS Berlin’. 

I have travelled around the world three times, visiting Pitcairn and Cook Islands amongst many.  I enjoy crossings and to be on the ocean. My first crossing was in 2024 on the ‘Windstar’ travelling from Barbados to Lisbon.

I currently reside in Ventura California, where I have an outdoor studio in my Zen Garden. There I teach group classes and private one on ones. 

I sit on the board of Ventura Potters Guild, where I chair all workshops. My works is presented and sold at the Ova Gallery in Ojai California. 

I’m currently a-mentor for the Ventura high School District.
